# Agent guide: Video summaries

- Available on **Team** and **Enterprise** plans

The video summaries agent makes it easy to transform videos into derivative content quickly.

## How to use the video summaries agent

From WRITER home, select **Agent Library** from the left menu and search for "video summaries" to highlight it.

Select **Preview** to understand what the image analyzer agent needs for inputs, and what kind of outputs it can produce. Select **Open** to open the agent.

### Add your video

There are three different ways to upload a video:

1) The video summaries agent works with videos hosted on Vimeo or YouTube **with a transcript**. Note that _Paste URL_ will not work for videos without a transcript.

2) Paste the transcript of a video.

3) Upload an .srt file or .txt file containing the captions or transcript for a video.

There is **no** minimum video length – use the video summaries agent for short or long videos!

### Select a voice profile

Want to generate content in one of your selected [voice profiles](https://support.writer.com/article/250-how-to-calibrate-voice-for-your-content)?

Under the **Voice** category, select the voice profile you'd like to apply to the outputs generated by the video summaries agent.

When you're ready to generate content, select **Generate text**. The video summaries agent will produce a one paragraph description, a set of bulleted takeaways, a LinkedIn post, an X post, and an Instagram post.

## What kinds of videos can I summarize?

- Videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo **with a transcript**

- Short or long videos – there's no minimum length requirement!

- Non-English videos in the [languages we support](https://dev.writer.com/home/language_support) (with a transcript)
